Technical Program Manager

GSPANN is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead complex supply chain and commerce technology programs, focusing on predictable delivery, clear stakeholder alignment, and lasting business value.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional technical programs across Commerce and Transactions platforms, establishing measurable outcomes for delivery, scalability, reliability, security, performance, operational readiness, and business value.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams to define program strategy, scope, delivery plans, and execution approaches for large-scale initiatives.
• Develop and manage integrated program plans across multiple engineering teams, platforms, and services, ensuring alignment on milestones, dependencies, and business objectives.
• Drive delivery execution through technical governance, clear accountability, architecture and security reviews, decision and escalation frameworks, quality gates, and proactive issue resolution.
• Manage technical risks, architectural dependencies, platform constraints, and technical debt through proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Ensure predictable program outcomes by addressing reliability and resilience gaps, security concerns, and scalability limitations.
• Support informed decision-making at all levels of the organization by translating complex technical concepts, trade-offs, and constraints into clear business impacts.
• Drive clarity, prioritization, and successful program delivery by aligning architects, engineers, product leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and architecture leaders to validate technical approaches, challenge assumptions, and ensure strategic enabling work is prioritized.
• Lead multi-system integration efforts by coordinating API and data-contract alignment, end-to-end testing, and performance and security validation.
• Ensure deployment and rollback readiness, production observability, operational handoffs, and post-launch stabilization.
• Drive the resolution of cross-team dependencies, competing priorities, and delivery conflicts while balancing business objectives, technical quality, and organizational constraints.
• Manage clear, concise, and technically grounded updates to senior leadership on program health, delivery and reliability metrics, risks, key decisions, architectural trade-offs, and business impacts.
• Drive investment decisions on platforms, tooling, infrastructure, and technical modernization initiatives that support long-term business growth and operational excellence.
• Optimize technical program management practices, governance, planning, and execution across the organization through continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum Master, or equivalent program management certification, which is an advantage.
• Bring 10+ years of experience leading complex technical programs within retail, e-commerce, digital, or technology-driven organizations.
• Demonstrate 12+ years of experience in technical delivery, software engineering, technical program management, or related technology leadership roles.
• Bring strong experience handling complex programs in the SCM domain.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, Data, and Operations teams.
• Bring experience leading technical initiatives across commerce platforms, including Checkout, Payments, Order Management, Fulfillment, Post-Purchase Experiences, Returns, Shipping, and Next Generation Commerce capabilities.
• Apply an understanding of order and payment integrations, data flows, API contracts, event-driven integrations, and end-to-end transaction lifecycle management.
• Demonstrate strong technical acumen across software development lifecycles, APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, integrations, distributed systems, and platform architectures.
• Apply a solid understanding of system reliability, observability, performance engineering, scalability, and application security.
• Manage complex dependencies, technical risk, organizational alignment, and large-scale program execution.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication, executive stakeholder management, and influencing skills to drive alignment across technical and business teams.
• Develop governance models, operating rhythms, escalation frameworks, and delivery mechanisms for complex programs.
• Work with modern application and platform technologies, including Java-based services, GraphQL, Node.js, React, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Kafka or comparable event-streaming technologies, and GitLab or comparable Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tooling.
• Apply a strong understanding of Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps), automated testing, deployment strategies, and engineering excellence practices.
• Utilize Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and related planning platforms.
• Bring experience leading platform modernization, cloud transformation, and highly distributed enterprise technology programs.
• Apply expertise in infrastructure as code, resilience and disaster recovery planning, production observability, performance optimization, secure delivery practices, and operational readiness.
• Bring experience within retail, e-commerce, omnichannel, supply chain, or digital commerce organizations, which is an advantage.
• Demonstrate knowledge of commerce ecosystems, including checkout, payments, post-purchase journeys, order orchestration, fulfillment, returns, and customer experience platforms, which is an advantage.
• Bring experience supporting global technology organizations and large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives, which is an advantage.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while influencing outcomes across multiple organizations and leadership levels, which is an advantage.
