Job Description
As a Director in Marketing Procurement Consulting, you will lead high-impact transformation engagements, partnering with senior client stakeholders to unlock value across Marketing spend. This role combines deep Marketing category expertise with consulting leadership to design category strategies, optimize supplier ecosystems, deliver sourcing excellence, and drive measurable business outcomes. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, helping clients transform Marketing procurement across agencies, media, digital marketing, MarTech, events, research, and promotional spend categories.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership

Serve as a trusted advisor to CPOs, CMOs, CFOs and Procurement leaders.

Own executive-level client relationships across multiple engagements.

Translate business priorities into Marketing procurement transformation strategies.
Engagement Delivery
-
Lead category strategy, strategic sourcing, operating model, and cost optimization engagements.

Drive measurable outcomes through supplier consolidation, value engineering, risk mitigation, and performance improvement.

Lead complex sourcing initiatives including RFI, RFP, RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting.
Strategic Problem Solving

Conduct opportunity assessments and identify value creation opportunities across Marketing spend.

Develop category roadmaps for agency services, media, digital marketing, promotional merchandise, market research, and events.

Integrate procurement objectives with broader business goals including growth, innovation, and efficiency.
Team Leadership

Lead and mentor consulting teams across multiple client engagements.

Build category capability and consulting excellence within the organization.
Business Growth

Support proposal development, executive presentations, and business development activities.

Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and consulting engagements.
Transformation & Innovation

Guide clients in adopting digital procurement, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled sourcing capabilities.

Drive future-ready procurement practices and supplier innovation programs.
Salary Range: $190,000 – $210,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Compensation: Eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.

Requirements
Experience
-
12–18 years of procurement consulting, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience.

Minimum 8+ years of Marketing category management experience.

Demonstrated experience leading procurement transformation initiatives across multiple industries.
Leadership Capability

Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder engagements and executive client relationships.

Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Executive Presence

Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to operate effectively in dynamic and evolving client environments.
Functional Expertise

Deep expertise in Marketing procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, category strategy, and procurement transformation.

Experience across agency services, media, digital marketing, MarTech, market research, events, and promotional spend.
Commercial Mindset
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to consulting business development.
Education

Bachelor’s degree required.

MBA, MCIPS, CPSM, CPM or equivalent certification preferred.
