About the role
Our Why At Dotmatics

Our Portfolio includes Luma, LumaLab Connect, ELN Platform, Graphpad Prism, Geneious, SnapGene, Protein Metrics, OMIQ, FCS Express, LabArchives, NQuery, EasyPanel, SoftGenetics and Virscidian.
We have created the world's most comprehensive digital science platform, used by more than 2 million scientists in a single ecosystem united by a powerful, flexible enterprise data platform.
Shaping the Future of Science At Dotmatics
Our global team of more than 800 colleagues supports customers in over 180 countries. You'll join a collaborative, global team pushing the boundaries of scientific innovation. We offer a dynamic, remote-friendly environment that fosters high integrity and collaboration.
What do we need
We are looking for an experienced market leader, thought leader and SME in CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls). CMC leaders own the science and decisions behind how a drug gets made, from late stage development through launch and across the full product lifecycle.
We're building Luma, a Scientific Intelligence Platform for life sciences and materials science. CMC is a core part of our Molecule to Market story. We need someone to own the market strategy for it.
This is a customer and market facing role. You'll spend real time with CMC leaders at pharma, biotech, and CDMOs, and support teams across Siemens, including sales, product, services, customer success, and the Siemens Solution Marketing team. Your job is to drive software adoption and AI use cases across CMC.
How you'll spend your time
- Customer engagements: meeting CMC leaders, joining pursuits, and bringing what you hear back to the business
- Sales enablement: giving the field the talk tracks, battlecards, demo narratives, and proof points to win
- Market analysis: sizing segments, tracking competitors, and spotting trends early
- Marketing enablement: shaping the content, campaigns, and events that reach the CMC audience
- Cross-organization alignment: working across Siemens DISW and DI Automation teams so we show up as one company with one story for the CMC market
What you'll do
- Own the market growth strategy for technology transfer
- Define target segments, buyer personas, and priority accounts, including CMC Leads, MSAT, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Global Supply and Quality, and Regulatory CMC
- Build positioning and messaging that speaks to scientists, operations leaders, and executives
- Translate CMC pain points into clear value, including faster lifecycle management, cleaner handoffs, better decisions, and less rework across sites and partners
- Create the competitive view against other informatics vendors, point solutions, and in house builds
- Develop the business case, pricing inputs, and value story with Finance and Sales
- Equip the field with talk tracks, battlecards, demo narratives, and customer proof points
- Partner with Marketing, Product, DISW and DI Automation teams on content, roadmap priorities, joint offers, and customer conversations
- Connect CMC to the bigger Molecule to Market narrative, including ELN, Lab Orchestration, and Biologics
- Support strategic pursuits and executive conversations with customers and partners
- Track market trends, including AI driven labs, digital solutions, data analytics, and regulatory change, and turn them into action
Requirements
- 10 or more years in life sciences, with hands on CMC experience in a pharma, biotech, or CDMO setting
- Strong analytical skills, including sizing markets and building a business case
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- A degree or higher in life sciences, chemistry, engineering, or a related field
The key skills
- Deep understanding of how CMC works day to day, including process and analytical development, manufacturing, technology transfer, lifecycle management, and regulatory filings
- Working experience with AI and data platforms in a scientific setting
- Knowledge of how CMC leaders make decisions and work across Pharmaceutical Sciences, supply and quality, MSAT, and external manufacturing partners
- Experience in product marketing, market strategy, product management, or commercial roles at a software, informatics, or life sciences solutions company
- Proven ability to turn complex science and technology into clear, simple messaging
- Comfort working with senior leaders and sitting across from customers
- Ability to work across a large, matrixed organization and build trust with teams in different business units
Nice to have
- Experience leading or supporting a CMC team for a launched product
- Familiarity with GxP environments and regulated manufacturing
- Background with ELN, LIMS, MES, or process data platforms
- Prior time at a CDMO or biopharma manufacturing organization
What success looks like
- A clear CMC market strategy adopted by Sales, Product, and Services
- Messaging and sales tools the field actually uses
- One consistent story for CMC across Dotmatics, DISW, and DI Automation
- Growing pipeline and wins tied to CMC
- CMC leaders who can say, in their own words, why Luma helps them run their programs and products with more confidence
