Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of AI models, agentic solutions, and optimization algorithms for enterprise applications on the C3 AI Platform.
• Partner with C3 AI customers to build and scale their own AI applications on the Platform.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new AI capabilities within the C3 AI Platform.
• Analyze model performance across enterprise deployments, diagnose issues such as poor recall or false positive rates, and recommend targeted improvements.
• Collaborate with data engineers and subject matter experts from C3 AI and customer teams to source, validate, and correctly leverage new data assets.

Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Hands-on AI experience spanning generative AI, agentic systems, supervised and unsupervised learning, and classical regression and classification.
• Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
• Experience building and deploying models at scale in distributed or cloud-native environments.
• Ability to drive projects independently and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Sharp, motivated, and focused on making a real impact.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python; experience with JavaScript, Java, or Scala is a plus.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector databases, or RAG architectures.
• A portfolio of AI projects (GitHub, publications, or open-source contributions) is a plus.
