QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to expand automation coverage across multiple analytics-driven web applications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and maintaining UI and API automation, implementing reusable automation frameworks, and integrating test suites with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. The role will focus on automating critical analytics and dashboard workflows, improving test reliability, and establishing scalable automation practices across multiple products.

Key Responsibilities

1. UI and API Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain UI and API automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Implement BDD automation using Cucumber.
• Automate critical analytics and dashboard workflows.
• Validate UI data against API and database responses.
• Develop reliable automation coverage for complex and dynamic web applications.

2. Automation Framework Development

• Build reusable page objects, services, utilities, and automation components.
• Contribute to framework improvements and establish automation best practices.
• Implement effective locator strategies and handle dynamic web elements.
• Maintain scalable and reusable automation solutions across multiple applications.

3. CI/CD Integration and Reporting

• Integrate automation suites with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain test execution reporting using Allure.
• Analyze automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and troubleshoot issues.
• Improve test execution reliability and support efficient feedback cycles.

4. Collaboration and Quality Improvement

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify high-value automation scenarios.
• Support automation coverage expansion across analytics-driven applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes and engineering practices.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies

• 6+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
• Experience in API automation and validation.
• Experience integrating automated tests with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Strong understanding of locator strategies and handling dynamic web applications.
• Experience developing reusable automation frameworks, page objects, services, and utilities.
• Familiarity with Allure reporting and automation failure analysis.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Must-Have Skills

• 6+ years of QA Automation experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Playwright experience.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript proficiency.
• BDD automation using Cucumber.
• UI and API automation and validation.
• Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Strong knowledge of locator strategies and dynamic web application testing.
• Automation framework development and reusable component design.
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
