Technical Architect

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to drive technical architecture and engineering excellence across four business sectors: Education, Commerce, Industrial, and Compliance.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in software design patterns, system architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise application development. The role requires the ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives from design through delivery and create detailed, actionable technical artifacts for engineering teams.

The candidate should be hands-on and capable of developing proof of concepts (PoCs), writing sample code, and validating architectural decisions whenever required. Experience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, and intelligent automation will be a significant added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical architecture across Education, Commerce, Industrial, and Compliance business domains.
• Independently lead technical design and execution of complex, cross-functional engineering projects.
• Create and maintain system context diagrams, architecture diagrams, data flows, database schemas, sequence diagrams, and API contracts.
• Define bounded contexts, integration patterns, and architectural standards for distributed systems and enterprise applications.
• Apply software design patterns, including creational, structural, and behavioral patterns, to build scalable and maintainable applications.
• Own non-functional requirements (NFRs), including scalability, performance, security, reliability, compliance, and extensibility.
• Develop technical proof of concepts, prototypes, sample implementations, and high-quality code to validate architectural decisions.
• Prepare and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and detailed technical specifications.
• Review and approve technical designs, code, and pull requests to ensure architectural compliance.
• Identify cross-cutting concerns such as authentication, authorization, audit logging, and multi-tenancy, and define reusable solutions.
• Define architecture guardrails for latency, fault tolerance, data residency, auditability, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to translate product requirements into actionable technical solutions.
• Identify gaps between business objectives and existing technical capabilities and independently drive solutions.
• Evaluate APIs, data models, cloud infrastructure, and integration strategies across multiple product platforms.
• Assess AI/ML tools, LLMs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and AI agents for potential enterprise integration.
• Provide technical guidance for intelligent search, automation pipelines, and AI-enabled product capabilities.
• Adapt to different technology environments and business domains while maintaining consistent architectural standards.

Qualifications and Required Skills

Technical Architecture and Design

• 12-15 years of overall IT experience, with substantial experience in technical architecture and enterprise application design.
• Proven experience designing complex SaaS, B2B product ecosystems, and enterprise platforms.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns, enterprise integration patterns, and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), distributed systems, and system integration.
• Ability to independently drive large-scale architectural initiatives from inception to delivery.

Programming and Development

• Expert-level hands-on development experience in at least one of the following: .NET, Java, or PHP.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Ability to develop working PoCs, prototypes, and sample implementations when required.
• Experience reviewing code and ensuring engineering quality and architectural consistency.

API and Integration

• Strong experience in REST APIs and API design.
• Knowledge of GraphQL, gRPC, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise integrations and communication patterns between distributed systems.

Data Architecture

• Strong understanding of relational, document, and graph data models.
• Experience designing database schemas, data flows, and integration models.
• Knowledge of data consistency, performance optimization, and data governance.

Cloud and Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architecture.
• Understanding of scalable, secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience with microservices, distributed infrastructure, and cloud-native design principles.

Architecture Artifacts and Governance

• Ability to create detailed technical specifications and implementation-ready design documents.
• Experience with UML diagrams, C4 models, sequence diagrams, system context diagrams, and API specifications.
• Experience authoring and maintaining Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements and architecture governance.

Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)

• Experience defining and enforcing requirements for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and extensibility.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, multi-tenancy, auditability, data residency, and fault tolerance.
• Ability to identify architectural risks and establish appropriate technical guardrails.
