About the role
Who we are:
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. Samsara helps improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power the global economy, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
Working at Samsara means you'll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team shaping product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.
About the role:
Samsara's Product Operations team is looking for a hands-on builder to join the Platform team and help accelerate the enterprise-ready roadmap. You will support the Billing, Org & Auth, and Security product teams, working closely with R&D leaders to turn ambiguous questions into rigorous analyses, repeatable workflows, and internal tools used across the Product and Engineering organization.
This is an individual-contributor role for someone who has already shown they can build and ship. You do not need a technical background. However, you do need to use modern AI and development tools to move beyond a prototype: work with data, write and debug code using AI, validate the results, put a useful tool in front of users, and improve it until people trust and rely on it.
This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States and Canada. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.
You should apply if:
- You want to impact the industries that run our world, helping keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and ensure workers return home safely.
- You are the architect of your own career, with a culture of rapid career development and opportunities to master your craft in a hyper-growth environment.
- You're energized by the opportunity to digitize large sectors of the global economy.
- You want to be with the best, surrounded by a high-caliber team.
- You measure yourself by revenue outcomes and want your work tied directly to ARR.
In this role, you will:
- Drive ARR through platform decisions by identifying the enterprise-readiness gaps that most limit new business, expansion, and retention.
- Accelerate enterprise-ready delivery by partnering with the Billing, Org & Auth, and Security product teams to define priorities, remove blockers, and track progress against customer and Sales commitments.
- Build and ship internal data and AI products that help Product and Engineering teams understand platform usage, customer friction, and high-impact opportunities.
- Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data, including product telemetry, support tickets, customer conversations, feature requests, surveys, and product metadata.
- Turn one-time analyses into reliable, repeatable tools and workflows with clear data definitions, quality checks, documentation, and feedback loops.
- Translate complex findings into decision-ready recommendations for R&D leadership while preserving the evidence and methodology behind them.
- Quantify the revenue impact of platform investments and report on it before and after launch.
- Own projects end to end, from scoping and data connection through launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully, checking outputs and debugging failures rather than assuming generated work is correct.
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of professional experience in product operations, data or product analytics, business operations, consulting, technical product management, or a similar environment solving ambiguous problems with data and technology.
- A demonstrated record of building and shipping something useful for real users, such as an internal tool, application, dashboard, automation, data product, or repeatable analytical workflow.
- A track record of connecting your work to revenue or an equivalent business result, and showing how your decisions caused it.
- Experience structuring and analyzing messy or large datasets, validating results, and explaining what the analysis does and does not prove.
- Strong product and customer judgment, starting with the user problem and business outcome rather than the technology.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining technical or analytical work to non-technical partners and executives.
- High ownership, curiosity, and attention to detail, with comfort learning quickly and iterating through ambiguity.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience in a B2B technology company or working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
- Experience in Product Operations functions, including defining and tracking product roadmaps and feature requests, and bringing the voice of the customer to product conversations.
- Familiarity with enterprise platform domains such as billing and monetization, identity, access, and org management, or security and compliance.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for full-time employees in this position is $126,000 to $202,500 USD. Base pay may vary based on factors including city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions.
Total Rewards:
Samsara's compensation program includes base salary, performance-based bonus or variable pay, and equity for eligible roles. Benefits include a flexible, employee-led remote model, a professional development stipend, and comprehensive health and parental leave plans.
Samsara is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics. Applicants with disabilities may request reasonable accommodations during the recruiting process. Samsara does not charge fees to applicants at any stage of the hiring process.
