- Design and implement testing protocols for new products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Audit automated disclosure logic and credit decision notices for compliance with applicable state and federal commercial lending requirements, including rate and fee limitations.
- Review marketing materials and customer complaint trends to identify and mitigate potential UDAAP/UDAP and other regulatory risks.
- Develop system frameworks and reporting workflows to support compliance with emerging regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine compliance audits and communicate findings, recommendations, and remediation needs to Compliance leadership and relevant business partners.
- Monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into actionable compliance processes, controls, and testing requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. small business lending and state-licensed lending requirements.
- Knowledge of key regulatory requirements, including ECOA (Regulation B), UDAAP/UDAP, KYC, AML, OFAC, SCRA, CAN-SPAM, and state-specific disclosure requirements.
- Experience developing and executing data-driven compliance monitoring and testing programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across legal, compliance, business, and operational teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Compliance, or a related field required.
- 6+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, compliance testing, or audit within the fintech, lending, banking, or financial services industry.
- Experience with U.S. small business lending and state-licensed lending preferred.
- Experience with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), embedded banking, or working with bank sponsors is a plus.
