What you'll own

  • Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts for web, API and mobile applications
  • Develop reusable automation components and utilities
  • Automate functional, regression, integration and end-to-end test scenarios
  • Perform web automation using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
  • Perform API automation using REST Assured, Karate or equivalent frameworks
  • Perform mobile automation using Appium for Android and/or iOS applications
  • Validate REST APIs - request/response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication and error handling
  • Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyse automation failures, application logs and test reports
  • Maintain automation frameworks using design patterns such as Page Object Model
  • Perform database validation using SQL
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers to improve automation coverage and quality

What it takes

  • 3-5 years of QA/test automation experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in web automation and API automation
  • Hands-on experience in mobile automation using Appium
  • Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
  • REST Assured / Karate or equivalent API automation framework
  • Strong programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts
  • TestNG / JUnit / PyTest or equivalent test framework
  • Maven / Gradle or equivalent build tools
  • Git/version control and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
  • SQL and database validation
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON and authentication mechanisms

Nice to have

  • Microservices testing
  • Docker/Kubernetes awareness
  • Cloud testing exposure
  • Performance testing basics
  • BrowserStack / Sauce Labs or similar device-cloud experience
  • BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
