Job Description:

Sr. Citrix Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, App Layering, and enterprise virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, administer, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Manage Citrix App Layering, including creation, maintenance, and deployment of OS, platform, and application layers.
  • Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, profile, application-delivery, and user-access issues.
  • Administer Citrix Workspace, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Citrix Gateway/NetScaler, and Machine Catalogs.
  • Support image management, provisioning, patching, and upgrades using MCS and/or PVS.
  • Work with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to deliver stable virtual desktop and application services.
  • Monitor Citrix infrastructure health, capacity, and performance; recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans.
  • Participate in on-call support and resolve production incidents within agreed service levels.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in Citrix administration and engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
  • Mandatory experience with Citrix App Layering.
  • Experience with Citrix Workspace, StoreFront, Citrix Gateway/NetScaler, Delivery Controllers, and Director.
  • Knowledge of Machine Creation Services (MCS) and/or Provisioning Services (PVS).
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Understanding of Citrix profiles, FSLogix, and user environment management.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere or other virtualization platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Citrix certifications such as CCA-V or CCP-V.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix DaaS, or cloud-hosted Citrix environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments.
