SAP ABAP Data Migration Consultant

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP technical experience, including substantial ABAP development experience.
• Proven experience as an SAP technical architect, data migration architect, or senior SAP ABAP lead.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA data models and architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in ABAP, ABAP Objects, debugging, performance tuning, and mass-data processing.
• Experience with SAP migration tools, standard APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, and data extraction/loading techniques.
• Strong understanding of master data, transactional data, data dependencies, and reconciliation.
• Experience with migration mock loads, cutover planning, defect resolution, and production deployment.
• Ability to translate business migration requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversion programs.
• Exposure to SAP BODS, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Integration Suite, or other ETL technologies.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and SAP migration best practices.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, CDS views, OData, and modern ABAP development.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Partner/CVI, Finance data migration, and S/4HANA simplification items.
• Experience with SAP cloud or hybrid landscapes, where applicable.
