DevOps Engineering Intern

Summary

We are seeking a Junior/Intern DevOps Engineer who is interested in learning and helping to build Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) as well as release deployment pipelines to help manage our growing infrastructure and work on CI/CD processes in a cloud-native AWS Kubernetes based ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Understand the design and implementation of an automated CI/CD pipelines leveraging one of these tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory
• Collaborate and engage with development teams to improve the development experience
• Understand the premises around Security, Compliance and Quality gates into deployment pipelines
• Build basic and initial infrastructure as code, drive automated configurations and maintain them
• Ability to learn about the environment and provide basic support for troubleshooting issues related to CI/CD pipelines
• Evaluate, build, and automate new solutions centered around release stability and readiness

Requirements

• 0-3+ years hands-on DevOps experience working on complex cloud-based CI/CD pipelines (eg. Github Actions, Spinnaker)
• 1-3+ years of experience with AWS or GoogleCloud
• 0-3+ years of experience with Kubernetes (EKS, ArgoCD, Istio)
• 1-3+ years of experience with managing cloud infrastructure as a code using Terraform, Terragrunt, Atlantis, or similar
• Entry level in at least one or more of these programming languages: java, ruby, golang, python, or groovy
• interpersonal and communication skills, capable of communicating and collaborating with others clearly.
