Senior Software Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

Loopio is on the hunt for a Senior Software Developer who thrives on solving complex challenges and is driven by curiosity. You'll join a dynamic team of Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to architect and deliver cutting-edge features that power a platform used by some of the world's leading organisations. From impacting technical direction to mentoring teammates, you'll play a key role in scaling our systems and evolving our product.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and rapidly building end-to-end features from scratch for Loopio's platform.
• Designing and shipping reusable frameworks and shared libraries that raise the bar for how every team at Loopio builds.
• Proactively building technology to prevent bugs as they come up.
• Interacting with and gathering detailed feedback from customers to create a user-centric experience.
• Partnering closely with the ML team to design, integrate, and productionise AI agents and knowledge-graph capabilities.
• Mentoring and coaching others, providing technical guidance and encouraging knowledge sharing and feedback.
• Contributing to Loopio's AI roadmap by evaluating third-party models, establishing patterns for agentic workflows and knowledge-graph-grounded retrieval, and defining technical and evaluation guidelines for AI-powered features.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects through testing and by developing and maintaining automated tests.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems at scale.
• Strong experience in backend/API development in Python, Java or PHP.
• Strong understanding of database design and RDBMS such as MySQL or similar.
• Proficiency in using and designing scalable RESTful APIs.
• Mentorship to other engineers through coaching, design, and code reviews.
• Exposure to AI technologies, particularly Agents and LLMs, embeddings, or natural language processing.
• Comfortable guiding technical design discussions and facilitating technical decision making.
• A growing passion for driving processes and improving software development productivity.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party systems.
• Experience in frontend development, with a solid understanding of React and JavaScript.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and core services (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, ECS/Fargate, and Lambda).
• Experience with TypeScript, Cypress, Elasticsearch, semantic search, RAG, or integrating third-party apps is a plus.

Where You'll Work:

• This is a remote-first opportunity with the advantages of working flexibly across India.
• Loopio is HQ'd in Canada, with hub regions in Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), India (HQ in Ahmedabad), and England (London).
• India/UK hub employees work according to the business hours stated above (11 am - 7:30 pm IST) to enable overlapping hours with global teams.
• You'll collaborate virtually across the UK, India, and North America with core sync hours and focus time during the workday.
