About the role

Role Overview

Kilowott is looking for a Full Stack WordPress & WooCommerce Developer to join our GOA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress and WooCommerce websites, working closely with designers, project managers, and QA teams.

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular presence at our Kochi office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Build and customize WooCommerce stores (products, checkout, payment gateways, shipping)
  • Convert Figma/Adobe designs into responsive WordPress interfaces
  • Implement custom functionalities using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress hooks
  • Optimize website performance, security, and scalability
  • Integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, and marketing tools
  • Debug, test, and maintain existing WordPress projects
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and project managers
  • Ensure best practices for SEO, performance, and accessibility

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6+ years of experience in WordPress development
  • Strong expertise in:
  • WordPress Core, Hooks, Actions & Filters
  • WooCommerce customization
  • PHP, MySQL
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience with:
  • Custom theme & plugin development
  • Page builders (Gutenberg, Elementor, or similar)
  • REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Familiarity with Git/version control
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

  • Experience with headless WordPress
  • Knowledge of React or modern JS frameworks
  • Exposure to performance tools (Lighthouse, GTMetrix)
  • Understanding of security best practices
  • Experience working in an agency environment

Work Location & Mode

Candidates must be available to work from the GOA office as required
