Job Description
iamneo is looking for a Cybersecurity SME Trainer to design and deliver high-impact cybersecurity training programs for learners across foundational, practitioner, and advanced specialist levels. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on cybersecurity experience and a passion for enabling learners through practical, lab-driven instruction.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles such as SOC operations, security analysis, or security support
- 1+ year of experience in teaching, training, mentoring, or conducting technical sessions
- Experience working with security tools, monitoring, or incident response workflows
- Exposure to red team / blue team concepts or hands-on labs
- Experience delivering certification-oriented or practical cybersecurity training is a plus
- Comfortable conducting hands-on labs, workshops, and simulation-based exercises
Required Technical Skills Security Fundamentals & Architecture
- Understanding of core security concepts such as Zero Trust, defence-in-depth, and basic security architecture
- Familiarity with risk and vulnerability management frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) SOC & Monitoring Tools
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or IBM QRadar
- Basic understanding of log analysis, alerting, and incident triage Security Testing & Networking
- Familiarity with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap
- Understanding of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) Identity & Cloud Security
- Understanding of IAM concepts (MFA, SSO, RBAC)
- Basic exposure to cloud security services across AWS, Azure, or GCP Incident Response & Analysis
- Familiarity with incident response lifecycle and basic forensic concepts
- Understanding of threat detection and response workflows Training & Lab Delivery
- Ability to design and deliver hands-on labs and scenario-based exercises
- Experience creating training content, assessments, or certification-oriented material Core Responsibilities
- Deliver cybersecurity training sessions across foundational and intermediate levels
- Conduct hands-on labs, simulations, and real-world security exercises
- Guide learners through practical scenarios such as threat detection and incident response
- Support learners in certification preparation (e.g., Security+, CEH, SC-200)
- Evaluate learner performance and provide structured feedback
- Keep training content updated with evolving threats and security practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance training quality and outcomes Preferred Profile
