Government Sector AI Strategy Specialist

Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven and analytical professional to join our Government Consulting team and help identify, design and execute AI transformation initiatives for Central and State Governments.

You will work closely with Gnani.ai’s leadership, government stakeholders and technology teams to translate public-sector challenges into practical AI solutions that improve citizen services, governance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Government Consulting & Research

• Research government departments, ministries, public-sector undertakings and state-level AI initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for AI adoption across citizen services, healthcare, agriculture, education and public administration.
• Prepare policy briefs, concept notes, proposals, presentations and project reports.
• Track government schemes, tenders, RFPs, procurement opportunities and AI-related policy developments.

AI Transformation & Program Design

• Work with internal product and engineering teams to identify relevant Voice AI, Agentic AI and automation use cases.
• Develop AI transformation roadmaps and implementation plans for government departments.
• Support the preparation of pilot proposals, project business cases and solution presentations.
• Research how sovereign AI and Indian-language AI can improve public-service delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement & Execution

• Support meetings and engagements with government officials, consultants, implementation partners and public-sector organizations.
• Coordinate follow-ups, proposals, workshops and project milestones.
• Maintain a structured pipeline of government opportunities and track progress through the sales cycle.
• Support the execution and monitoring of government AI pilot projects.

Ideal Candidate

• 3–5 years of experience in management consulting, government advisory, public policy, public-sector technology or enterprise business development.
• Experience at a Big Four consulting firm, strategy consulting firm, government advisory organization or GovTech company is preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, presentation and documentation skills.
• Ability to create high-quality PowerPoint presentations, reports, concept notes and business proposals.
• Strong interest in AI, digital governance, public policy and India's technology ecosystem.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to engage with multiple stakeholders.
