About the role
As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed. We're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day.
Our University Recruiting program offers paid positions for students and recent grads, designed to provide exposure to work that makes an impact while being supported through a structured experience with seasoned professionals.
Start & End Dates:
- Wednesday, June 2 2027 - Friday, August 20, 2027
Location & Work Arrangement:
- IN-PERSON: The Professional Services Explorer Internship is in-person, requiring attendance at the CrowdStrike Arlington, VA office three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) for the duration of the program.
Time Commitment:
Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.
About the Role:
The CrowdStrike Professional Services Explorer Internship provides undergraduate interns with an overview of Professional Services at CrowdStrike, with a focus on Incident Response, Strategic Advisory and Red Teaming. This internship takes place over a twelve-week period during the summer before one's second to last year of university (rising Juniors in the US).
This program is separate to the team-specific Professional Services Pathfinder internships available to students due to enter their final year of university. Students who successfully complete an Explorer internship may be considered for a return offer to the Pathfinder program.
What You'll Do:
The Explorer program provides interns the opportunity to cycle between areas in Professional Services. You will be able to work and train in teams including:
- Incident Response (IR): Our IR team responds to some of the most high profile and complex breaches. You will learn how CrowdStrike supports customers responding to cyber attacks by both eCrime and nation state-sponsored Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) actors, including ransomware, data theft, and cloud compromise.
- Red Team: Our Red Team is composed of hackers who support customers in identifying weaknesses in technology and security processes, using the same tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) as some of the most prolific or sophisticated adversaries.
- Strategic Advisory Services (SAS): Our SAS team advises customers on how to proactively secure their organization and prepare for cyber incidents, through tabletop exercises and assessments. Members communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including legal representation, public relations teams, and C-level executives.
Explorers will also be introduced to additional teams in and adjacent to Professional Services through talks given by members and leaders of those teams, including:
- Falcon OverWatch
- Falcon Complete
- CrowdStrike Counter Adversary Operations (CAO)
This rotational system is designed to provide insight into what CrowdStrike and its Professional Services teams do. Successful interns may be invited back for a second summer to participate in a focused Pathfinder program. Successful completion of this internship program can lead to a full-time offer beginning after graduation from university.
You do not need to be majoring in computer science, cybersecurity, or computer infrastructure, or have any formal training to apply. CrowdStrike is looking for interns who are passionate, curious, and demonstrate the ability and desire to learn and grow.
