Java Backend Developer-Chennai

Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Java 8+, Spring Boot & JUnit.
• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs.
• Integrate with Oracle/MongoDB and ensure performance and security.
• Ensure coding standards are followed.
• Ensure collaboration, good rapport & teamwork with ISPL and Paris team members.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Take ownership and commit towards quality deliverables within estimated timelines, avoiding global schedule shift.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in development practices, processes and code quality.
• Participation in project meetings: fine-tuning, daily, retrospective.
• Collaboration with the team members: the ability to collect, analyze, synthesize and present information in a clear, concise and precise way.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

• Expert in Java 8+, Spring Boot.
• Expert in RESTful API, Microservices & Design patterns.
• Experience in Oracle/MongoDB.
• JUnit and Spring Boot testing frameworks and code quality tools like Sonar.
• Clean coding practices.
• Maven, GitLab CI and Swagger tools.
• Beginner/Intermediate in Angular.
• Knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes.

Specific Qualifications:

• Knowledge in UML, DevOps, IntelliJ, GitLab (Pipeline CI/CD), Cloud Object Storage, Kafka.
