Associate Consultant

Role Overview

As an Associate Consultant at Blue Matter, you are stepping into ownership. You will independently drive analytical workstreams on live client engagements, translate complex data into crisp strategic insights, and begin mentoring junior analysts.

What You'll Do

• Research therapy areas, pipeline landscapes, and competitor dynamics.
• Independently investigate data anomalies and unexpected findings.
• Own the integrity of your analysis and deliver evidence-grounded insights.
• Translate quantitative outputs into strategic recommendations that connect to the client's commercial challenge.
• Design and build polished, client-ready deliverables using Excel, Python/R, Tableau, Qlik, or PowerPoint.
• Mentor junior analysts and bridge onshore and offshore teams.

What You'll Bring

• 2–4 years of experience in analytics, data science, or management consulting (life sciences exposure is a strong plus).
• Advanced proficiency in at least two analytical tools: SQL, Python, R, Excel/VBA, or Alteryx.
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear, decision-ready insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience working across global, cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Experience in pharma/biotech commercial analytics.
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
• BE/BTech/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• MTech/MS (Statistics or Data Science) is a plus.
