- Dell Storage Job Description: Looking for a skilled Storage Engineer with hands-on experience in Dell Storage (PowerStore / Unity / PowerMax), Dell ECS Object Storage, and Dell Isilon (PowerScale). The role involves architecture design, implementation, and documentation of enterprise storage solutions.
Key Skills:
- Dell Storage: PowerStore / Unity / PowerMax
- Dell ECS (Object Storage – S3, Buckets, Namespace)
- Dell Isilon / PowerScale (NFS, SMB, SmartPools, SyncIQ)
- Storage Protocols: SAN/NAS (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB)
- Strong experience in HLD, LLD, and documentation
- Storage deployment, migration & troubleshooting Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise storage solutions
- Perform installation, configuration & migration activities
- Manage storage performance, capacity & availability
- Prepare HLD/LLD, SOPs, and audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with backup, cloud, and virtualization teams
- NetApp Storage Job Description: Responsibilities:
- Strong experience in HLD, LLD, and documentation, Design and implement enterprise storage solutions
- Provide L3-level support for NetApp CDOT in a NAS environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Demonstrate in-depth expertise in NetApp C Mode, including cluster configuration, SVM/volume-based replication, LIFs setup and storage efficiency implementation.
- Manage and troubleshoot SMB/CIFS shares, NFS exports and dual protocol shares, ensuring seamless data access and performance.
- Perform performance analysis, troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)using tools like NetApp Active IQ Manager, OCUM and OnCommand System Manager.
- Plan and execute patch/microcode upgrades and data migration from other storage arrays to NetApp C Mode, following ITIL Change Management
- Lead Problem Management activities, including identifying, diagnosing and resolving complex storage issues.
- Configure and manage Cluster Aggregates, Volumes, Qtrees, Snapshots and SVMs, adhering to industry best practices.
- Perform capacity planning like monitor storage usage, forecast future needs, and implement strategies for optimal storage utilization
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Perform migration task and ability to work on migration / planning of storage from old new hardware
- Mentor BAU support teams, contribute as individual contributors and translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- DR configuration and implementation. Skills:
- Deep knowledge of NetApp ONTAP: Thorough understanding of ONTAP functionality, configuration, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with SAN/NAS: Familiarity with storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) technologies.
- Troubleshooting expertise: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex storage issues.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Networking knowledge: Understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
- Relevant certifications: NetApp certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Administrator) are often preferred.
