What You'll Do
Payroll Processing Support
- Process monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leave, overtime, reimbursements and new joiner and exit data.
- Validate payroll data for accuracy and completeness and flag discrepancies before each payroll run.
- Generation and distribution of pay slips, tax statements (e.g., Form 16) and other payroll-related employee documents.
- Reconcile payroll registers against the general ledger and investigate variances.
- Maintain payroll trackers and keep employee master data current in the HRIS/payroll system.
- Ensure timely and accurate FFS for exit employees.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Timely computation and remittance of statutory dues, including Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), etc.
- Preparing and filing periodic statutory returns (e.g., PF ECR, PT returns, TDS/Form 24Q) within prescribed deadlines.
- Monitor changes in payroll-related labour law, tax and social-security regulations and escalate impact to the team.
- Work on the actuarial valuations and coordinate for accounting and decision-making.
- Ensure compliances towards Gratuity Trust, accounting, auditing, taxation.
- Prepare documentation for statutory audits, inspections and internal compliance reviews.
Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of payroll transactions, statutory filings and compliance certificates.
- Support internal and external auditors with payroll data, reconciliations and compliance evidence during audits.
- Reconciliations of payroll GLs on a regular basis
- Help prepare SOPs, checklists and process documentation for payroll compliance activities.
Stakeholder Co-ordination
- Respond to employee queries on pay slips, deductions, tax declarations, statutory benefits, etc.
- Liaise with HR, Finance and external consultants (statutory auditors, PF/ESI consultants) as needed.
- Work and coordinate with Finance on payroll-related accounting entries and cost allocations.
- Review and send out the offer letters prepared by the payroll vendor in agreed timelines.
- Providing MIS reports to concerned teams on pre agreed dates.
What You'll Need
- The candidate should have bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, HR, Accounting, Business Administration or MBA with 3-5 years of experience.
- The candidate must have deep knowledge and understanding of end-to-end compensation, Payroll, Finance and IT processes in ADP and Oracle/Tally and experience of working with these products in a global organization.
- Should have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with a proven ability to build solid relationships with global, regional, and local stakeholders.
- Knowledge of India Tax and Regulatory Compliance.

- Strong team player and at the same time takes ownership to drive strategic objectives.
- Adaptable and creative approach to address issues and solve problems.
- Experience in engaging senior internal and external stakeholders including auditors, statutory and regulatory compliance authorities.
