About the role
Your Responsibilities as an Associate Project Manager - Wetland Scientist:
- Coordinate field activities while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, scientists, and clients to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct inspections of stormwater control measures at construction sites and commercial facilities to assess compliance with applicable regulations and permits.
- Conduct wetland delineations in accordance with the current S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable regional supplements.
- Perform stream assessments, ordinary high-water mark determinations, and aquatic resource evaluations.
- Conduct habitat assessments and biological resource surveys as needed.
- Maintain accurate field records and documentation of environmental investigations.
- Analyze environmental data and prepare clear, concise technical reports and findings.
- Support environmental compliance and due diligence projects for public and private sector clients.
- Develop proposals and manage project budgets under project manager oversight.
- Actively develop your own career growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences, or a related field and 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience with environmental field sampling, monitoring, and data collection.
- Experience with wetland delineation and habitat assessments.
- Strong technical writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform field work on active construction sites and remote locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Knowledge of stormwater permitting and compliance inspections.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS.
