About the role
Company Description
Acumatica is a company on a mission. We are a leading innovator in cloud ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions with growing businesses worldwide. Acumatica is different by design and purposely built to help small and midsized companies thrive in today's digital economy. Acumatica's culture is collaborative and high-energy. We value work/life balance, efficiency, simplicity, freakishly friendly customer service, and making a difference in the world.
Job Description
Distributors operate on thin margins, maintain tight service levels, and navigate complex networks of suppliers, warehouses, carriers, and sales channels.
Acumatica is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the product direction for our Distribution Edition.
Distribution Capabilities You Will Own
Inventory and warehouse management, order management and fulfillment, purchasing and procurement, pricing and rebates, and demand planning and replenishment.
What You'll Do
- Define and communicate a multi-year product vision and roadmap for Distribution, aligned to corporate strategy and our other industry editions.
- Turn customer, partner, and market insight into prioritized market requirements that engineering can build against.
- Build the business case for planned investments so leadership can make informed decisions on scope, timing, and tradeoffs.
- Make deliberate build, buy, and partner choices, including where our ISV ecosystem should lead.
- Identify where AI should automate, assist, or keep a human in the loop across demand forecasting, replenishment, order exceptions, pricing, and warehouse operations.
- Design for the trust, transparency, and control that operations teams require.
- Define measurable outcomes such as inventory turns, fill rate, order accuracy, and time saved, and hold the roadmap accountable to them.
- Spend time with distributors, resellers, and ISV partners to understand how they run their operations and where Acumatica wins or loses.
- Track competitors and market trends and turn them into clear differentiation for sales and marketing.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Distribution inside and outside the company.
- Partner with engineering and UX on design, scope, and delivery, and review functional designs and release plans.
- Lead launch readiness across the organization: beta programs, early adopters, documentation and training review, and enablement for sales, support, and services.
- Create the collateral that makes new capabilities easy to sell, including demos, data sheets, and presentations.
- Monitor product quality and adoption metrics and drive improvements.
- Resolve escalations from support, customer success, and implementation teams.
- Contribute to knowledge base content and partner education.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience in business applications, in the ERP space.
- Direct domain experience in the distribution vertical market and product experience with inventory, warehouse management, order management, purchasing, and supply chain management.
- Track record of taking products from market requirements through launch with measurable results.
- Experience working with ISVs, partners, or other platform ecosystems.
- Strong roadmap and prioritization skills, with decisions tied to customer value and business outcomes.
- Working knowledge of how distributors operate, including margin pressure, service levels, and channel complexity.
- A blend of business and technical savvy, with comfort working in detail with engineers.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including with executives, customers, and partners.
- Hands-on fluency with LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval, and tool use, and a practical grasp of what they can do reliably.
- Experience defining evaluation and quality approaches for AI in supply chain workflows, with accuracy, explainability, and human oversight.
- A daily personal practice of using AI for product work, and the ability to model and teach it.
- A clear point of view on how AI will change supply chain management, and the judgment to separate value from hype.
Why Join Us
Most companies building AI-first ERP are starting with no customers. This role gives you an established platform, a loyal customer base, a large partner channel, and the mandate and investment to lead the AI transformation of our distribution capabilities to support growing businesses.
