QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, client-facing QA Engineer to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our Product. In this role, you will work closely with the client to gather testing requirements and execute manual testing strategies.

Additionally, you will play a major role in kickstarting and scaling our mobile automation testing suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Client Interaction: Work closely with client-side stakeholders, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to understand feature requirements, business logic, and acceptance criteria.
• Status Reporting: Provide clear, timely quality metrics, test run reports, and risk assessments directly to the client team.
• Design, write, and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test suites for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Perform detailed exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and user experience issues.
• Document, track, and prioritize defects using tools like Jira, ensuring clear steps to reproduce and actionable insights.
• Time Zone Requirement: Must be fully available during EST zone working hours to ensure seamless daily active meeting participation, and real-time support with the client team.
• Flexibly transition and support interconnected application workflows and related projects based on business demands.
• Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or YAML.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Experience: 4–7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (Manual & Automation testing).
• Ability to use AI tools: Experience in integrating AI frameworks to build and execute test cases.
• Client-Facing Skills: Proven experience interacting directly with client teams and translating client-level requirements into technical testing strategies.
• Manual Testing: Strong hands-on experience with test case design, execution, defect lifecycle management, and API testing (Postman, Insomnia, or Charles Proxy).
• Mobile Automation: Practical knowledge or experience with Automation for mobile testing (iOS/Android). (Experience with Appium or Maestro is a plus).
• Mobile Ecosystem: Strong understanding of iOS and Android platforms, UI guidelines, and mobile device behaviour.

Good to Have

Experience using AI-assisted testing tools for test case generation, automation, execution, and defect analysis.

Responsibilities

Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent.
