About the role:
As a Software Engineer (Backend), you will drive the design and development of backend systems that support the Tax Information Reporting Suite (TIRS) and Core Services. You will lead backend engineering efforts, build scalable and reliable services, and ensure high-quality technical delivery.
What you will be doing
- Participate actively in release and sprint planning, working with stakeholders to understand scope, priorities, and timelines.
- Independently design and develop high-quality backend solutions.
- Develop comprehensive unit test cases.
- Quickly debug issues and provide timely fixes with minimal turnaround.
- Understand and enhance existing database stored procedures/SQL and create new ones when needed.
- Communicate project status, progress, and challenges effectively with the team.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable software.
- Follow best coding practices, standards, and quality control measures throughout the development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve development processes, explore new innovations, and contribute to product quality enhancements.
