Functional QA Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a Functional QA Engineer with strong experience in the payments processing domain to ensure high-quality delivery across complex payment flows. The role involves validating end-to-end transactions, integrations, and financial accuracy across global payment schemes and standards.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Strong communication skills (ability to describe the situation, articulate the problem, scenario, results, and functional document writing)
• Comfortable working in a team, also with members of other teams (Architect and Development) when needed.
• Good analytical skills: understand the problem, analyse a situation, propose a solution.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and environments.

What You Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

Must-Haves

• Laterals who have completed courses in Testing with at-least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Should have experience in Functional Testing.
• Should have good skill in preparing test scenario and test cases and review Test Plans.
• Experience with Payment Domain (ISO 20022, SWIFT and any other industry Standards).
• Experience with Automation Tools like Selenium, HP UFT, SOAP UI, Postman and JMeter.
• Experience with Agile Methodology, Testing Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle and Bug Tracking tools like JIRA and Bugzilla.
• Working experience with Linux Operating Systems, RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with protocols such as JMS, HTTP, SOAP and FTP.
• Experience with Tomcat/JBoss (WildFly)/IBM WebSphere/Oracle WebLogic application servers.
• Experience with MQ (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ).
• Work with technologies like Jenkins, AWS, Docker is a plus.
• Exposure to build tools like Maven or ANT.
