Kasten Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

About Our Summer Internship Program

Our Summer Internship Program is designed for students entering their final year of university who are eager to gain meaningful, real-world experience in a fast paced, collaborative, and professional environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test features related to Kasten by Veeam's product K10 in the area of cloud native backup and disaster recovery
• Preparation of design documents and use them to conduct design reviews with the team
• Preparation of test plans for testing features and present the test plan to the team
• Design and development of CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment) test pipelines meant for testing features.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Interest in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, multithreaded, concurrent systems
• Interest in distributed systems, concepts and client-server architectures
• Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, and concurrency)
• You are passionate about code quality, extensibility, coding standards, testing, and automation
• You are impact and result-driven

Nice To Have

• Interest in developing in Go
• Interest in databases and/or storage systems - especially in the public cloud
• Interest in developing for and on containers, container scheduler, and orchestration platforms
• Interest in participating and contributing to open source
