Solution & Integration Architect

About the Role:

Valocity provides digital infrastructure for property decisioning and valuation workflows used by banks and lenders across New Zealand, Australia, India and other international markets.

In India, Valocity is delivering its platform to a group of public sector banks. Successful delivery depends on getting the solution design and integrations right, bank by bank, while keeping them aligned with one common Valocity platform.

The Solution & Integration Architect is a senior technical role based in India. The role sits between customers, the Product team and Engineering teams, and is accountable for making sure that what is agreed with a bank can be designed, built, integrated and supported.

The role combines three areas:

• Solution architecture for bank implementations.
• API and integration design, with customers and internally.
• Requirement definition in support of the Product Manager and Product Owner roles.

This is a hands-on role.

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead technical discovery for each bank implementation.
• Produce solution designs covering application components, integrations, data flows, security, hosting and non-functional requirements.
• Define integration patterns including REST APIs, webhooks and callbacks, event-driven messaging, and secure batch or file transfer.
• Write and maintain API specifications using OpenAPI.
• Define authentication and authorisation approaches, including OAuth 2.0, client credentials, mutual TLS, API keys, certificates and IP allow-listing.
• Support the Product Manager and Product Owner in defining clear, buildable requirements.
• Act as the primary technical contact for bank integration teams during implementation.
• Support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), including triage of integration defects.
• Investigate and resolve integration issues using logs, API traces and monitoring tools.
• Design integrations that meet bank information security policies and Valocity's security standards.
• Develop reusable integration patterns, templates and reference designs.

Must Haves:

• Proven experience designing and delivering solutions for enterprise customers, ideally in banking or financial services.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting APIs and integrations.
• Experience integrating with bank systems and working with bank technology teams.
• Practical experience working with Product Managers, Product Owners or Business Analysts to define requirements.
• Strong ability to work with bank architecture, application, integration, security and network teams, and with senior stakeholders.

• .NET or Java development background
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience with Indian public sector banks
• Experience with property valuation, lending or mortgage workflows
• Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Oracle FLEXCUBE or similar platforms
• RBI IT governance and outsourcing directions
• Digital Personal Data Protection Act
• CERT-In requirements
• ISO/IEC 27001 or SOC 2 environments
• TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks
• Agile delivery using Azure DevOps or Jira
• Integration monitoring and observability tools

Experience and Seniority:

• This is a senior individual contributor role within Valocity's global technology organisation.
• Typically, the successful candidate will have approximately 8-12+ years of relevant experience across software engineering, integration and solution architecture, including at least 3 years in an architecture or technical lead role.

Education and Certifications:

• A BE, BTech or equivalent qualification in CS, IT is preferred.
