Taxation Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience in indirect and direct taxation to join our finance team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volumes.

Key Responsibilities

GST Compliance

• Manage end-to-end GST compliance including filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and reconciliation with books of accounts
• Handle GST input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and resolve mismatches
• Liaise with consultants and tax authorities for assessments, notices, and audits
• Stay updated on GST amendments and ensure timely implementation

TDS / Direct Tax

• Ensure accurate and timely TDS deductions, deposits, and filing of quarterly returns (24Q, 26Q)
• Manage Form 16 / 16A issuance and reconcile TDS with books
• Handle TDS notices, demands, and queries from the tax department
• Support in advance tax computation and corporate tax filings

Excel & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain tax trackers, reconciliation sheets, and compliance calendars using advanced Excel
• Build and maintain dashboards for tax liability monitoring and filing timelines

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in taxation and compliance
• Strong working knowledge of GST and TDS
• Hands-on SAP experience
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills for stakeholder and auditor coordination
• Prior experience in a fintech, BFSI, or high-growth startup environment
• Exposure to tax audits, transfer pricing, or direct tax assessments and Knowledge of Ind AS or IFRS reporting standards
