Senior Software Engineer

This position is based out of Hyderabad, India.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and operation of cloud-native infrastructure services for Truveta’s healthcare data platform.\n- Build and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and reliable production workloads.\n- Develop platform capabilities using open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, Conductor, Istio, Kong, and related cloud-native tools.\n- Design and operate infrastructure services on Microsoft Azure.\n- Drive automation, tooling, and operational improvements that increase engineering velocity and platform reliability.\n- Improve observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring.\n- Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution for infrastructure services.\n- Partner with product engineers, security teams, architects, and engineering leaders to deliver reliable platform capabilities.\n- Make sound technical decisions that balance scalability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed.\n- Write clean, maintainable code and configuration for infrastructure services, automation, and platform tooling.\n- Establish and improve operational practices, deployment guidance, runbooks, and engineering standards.\n- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and help build team expertise in Azure and open-source infrastructure technologies.\n- Evaluate and adopt open-source technologies where they improve Truveta’s platform capabilities.\n\nKey Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n- 5+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience.\n- Significant experience developing, maintaining, and operating production infrastructure or platform services.\n- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure.\n- Experience with open-source infrastructure technologies such as service mesh, API gateways, workflow orchestration, or container orchestration platforms.\n- Experience managing infrastructure and platform services on Microsoft Azure.\n- Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, GitOps, monitoring, and operational best practices.\n- Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, access control, and distributed systems concepts.\n- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across infrastructure, services, networking, data stores, and distributed systems.\n- Ability to lead technical discussions, influence infrastructure design decisions, and mentor other engineers.\n- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver reliable infrastructure in a fast-moving engineering environment.\n- Effective communication and collaboration skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n- Deep hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and Azure services.\n- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, Kong, Conductor, or similar open-source platform technologies.\n- Experience developing automation or tooling using C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.\n- Experience with infrastructure as code, deployment automation, GitOps, and CI/CD systems.\n- Experience with observability tools and practices, including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and service health monitoring.\n- Experience operating high-scale production infrastructure and participating in on-call support.\n- Experience contributing to open-source projects or committing to open-source repositories.\n- Experience with large-scale data platforms, distributed systems, analytics platforms, healthcare platforms, or regulated environments.\n- Interest in building reliable infrastructure that improves healthcare outcomes and helps save lives with data.
