Job Description
About the Role
The CNC Blanking Programmer will support the programming and production of precision sheet metal components, working closely with the manufacturing floor to ensure programs are accurate, efficient, and production-ready.
Responsibilities
- Program multiple types of CNC equipment, including press brakes, laser turrets, and blanking equipment
- Build and optimize nests using customer-supplied models, drawings, and prints
- Utilize SolidWorks and CNC programming software to develop production-ready programs
- Work with Amada VPSS 4iE Blank for blanking and nesting applications
- Support press brake programming and other sheet metal programming requirements
- Respond to shop-floor programming questions and assist with setup-related issues
- Close Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and address pre-production review action items
- Review customer models and prints to ensure manufacturability and programming accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other internal teams to resolve manufacturing issues
- Help identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency, material utilization, and production processes
- Support the manufacturing team during the company's planned facility transition as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC programming experience within a sheet metal fabrication environment, along with strong CAD skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production personnel.
