Role

We are looking for a Web Scraping Engineer to build and maintain scalable data extraction systems and APIs that deliver clean, structured data for internal use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web scraping scripts using Python (Requests, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy).
  • Build reliable and automated data extraction pipelines.
  • Handle dynamic websites, authentication, and rate-limited environments.
  • Clean, transform, and load extracted data in databases.
  • Design and build REST APIs (FastAPI / Flask / Django).
  • Optimize scraping workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product and data teams.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Strong data handling and preprocessing skills using Pandas and NumPy.
  • Experience with web scraping frameworks and tools.
  • Good understanding of HTML, DOM, XPath, and CSS selectors.
  • Experience building REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL / PostgreSQL) for data storage and querying.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control.
  • EHands-on experience with real-world scraping projects (GitHub or professional work) preferred.

Good to Have

  • Experience with ETL pipelines.
  • Strong Excel skills (data cleaning, pivot tables, formulas).
