Head of Finance

At SquadStack.ai, we're building AI-powered sales infrastructure that helps enterprises drive better customer conversations and business outcomes. We are looking for a Head of Finance who will act as a strategic partner to the Founder, leadership team, and Board, providing financial insight, robust systems, and strong governance to enable sustainable growth. We are looking for a finance operator who can bring strong financial governance, clean reporting, business finance depth, strategic planning, and decision support together.

The ideal person will be comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment, working closely with founders and business leaders, and bringing financial discipline without slowing down business momentum.

What You'll Do

• Partner with the Founders, Business Heads, and functional leaders to drive financial strategy, business planning, capital allocation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Own the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling to support business growth.
• Lead fundraising readiness, financial due diligence, board reporting, investor communications, and strategic finance initiatives.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, and growth initiatives through robust financial modeling and commercial analysis.
• Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Product, and People teams to improve business performance, scalability, and return on investment.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring timely and accurate MIS, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
• Lead statutory audits, tax compliance, financial reporting, and governance while strengthening internal controls and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Own cash flow forecasting, treasury, banking relationships, working capital management, and capital planning to optimize liquidity and business runway.
• Build scalable finance operations by driving automation, AI-enabled workflows, finance systems, and reporting infrastructure to improve visibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Continuously improve finance processes, controls, and month-end/year-end close efficiency while embedding best practices across the organization.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Finance team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• 15+ years of post-CA qualification experience, with significant leadership exposure in a finance leadership role within a high-growth startup, technology company, SaaS/AI, fintech, marketplace, tech-enabled services, or operations-led business.
• Strong experience across Strategic Finance, FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, Taxation, and Financial Reporting.
• Proven experience with fundraising, investor reporting, board presentations, financial due diligence, and audit management.
• Experience managing financial planning for a rapidly scaling business.
• A combination of Big 4 and startup experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to build scalable finance processes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders.
