Platform Engineer 2

About the role:

We’re looking for a <strong>Platform Engineer 2</strong> to help improve developer experience (DevEx), streamline release processes, and build reliable internal tools and platforms. This is a hands on engineering <strong>role</strong> focused on solving developer productivity challenges, building automation and tooling, and contributing to scalable platform solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and partner teams.

What you will do:

• Contribute to building and improving the Platform Engineering (Developer Productivity) capabilities, working closely with senior engineers on roadmap and execution.
• Design and build internal tools and platforms that improve CI/CD, testing workflows, developer productivity, and infrastructure automation.
• Work with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, ephemeral environments, and service monitoring tools to improve engineering workflows and reliability.
• Partner with engineers across teams to understand developer pain points and build solutions that improve the overall developer experience.
• Follow and promote best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, automation, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with other engineers to document solutions, share learnings, and drive adoption of platform capabilities across teams.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, contribute to technical discussions, and continuously improve through experimentation and learning.

What you will need:

• 4-6 years in software engineering with at least 1 years in platform/dev productivity roles.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, IaC.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, code quality gates.
• Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or Java (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).
• Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools.
• Proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
• A background in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) or any open-source software (OSS) contributions would be a huge plus. Alternatively, having built something really cool to solve a difficult pain point for engineers or anything that helped ship things faster for the company or the OSS community would also be great.
• Strong communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
