Robotics Engineer, Deployment & Testing

Roles and Responsibilities:\n- Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive regression tests for Skild AI’s software and products.\n- Design and organize test plans according to priority, impact, risk, and feasibility.\n- Debug and troubleshoot failures in complex scenarios while testing and/or deployment at customer sites.\n- Maintain robots and ensure they are deployment ready.\n- Recreate corner cases from production logs into repeatable tests.\n- Collaborate closely with robotic software developers and machine learning engineers and provide feedback on what needs to be improved to produce and sustain a top-quality product that meets customer expectations.\n\n### Preferred Qualifications:\n- BS, MS or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n- Proficiency developing in low-level systems languages (C, C++, Rust, Go) and Python.\n- Experience with complex software systems working in real-time with embedded systems.\n- Experience with Test Management and Requirements software.\n- Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware platforms.\n- Previous work experience as a Test Engineer.\n- Prior experience developing and deploying software on real robots.\n- Deep understanding and practical experience with software engineering principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.\n- Familiarity with machine learning integration and deployment in robotic systems.
