The Role:

This position is for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) within the Program Management Office (PMO) at SiFive. The primary charter of this group is to plan and manage the execution of processor core IP development programs from initial engineering scoping through product release.

As a TPM at SiFive, you will work with engineers designing industry-leading CPU cores and the tools, software, and infrastructure behind them, as well as a product marketing team focused on bringing RISC-V to new markets. An ideal candidate has experience bringing processor IP to production and familiarity with the software development and release process. Experience managing hardware development programs using Agile methodology is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads in cross-functional teams to develop schedule, resource allocation, and overall plan to meet program goals.
• Build a plan for effective execution, monitoring, and tracking, identifying critical paths, program risks, and issues from planning through execution, delivery, and support phases.
• Coordinate cross-functional group activities, track dependencies, and drive teams to meet schedules and goals.
• Participate in technical discussions and resolve high-level project issues.
• Lead task and issue reporting and resolution.
• Be responsible for effective and consistent communication and reporting of overall program status.
• Participate in developing and improving project, program management, and product life cycle processes.

Requirements:

• Experience with CPU technology and associated software and tools development.
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive engineering decisions.
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Excellent organization, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience with project and program management tools and processes for effective, efficient planning and execution is a strong plus.
• BS/MS degree in EE, CE, CS, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
