Social Media Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Social Media Manager who will be the on-ground driver of SST's brand presence. This is a highly dynamic and hands-on role that combines social media execution, analytics, and student engagement. From covering campus fests and Supermentor sessions to publishing daily Stories, Reels, and Shorts, you will ensure that the SST experience is visible, engaging, and inspiring to the outside world, while also tracking and maintaining all published content across platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who is a true social media native, highly energetic, detail-oriented, and strong with analytics, with the ability to track performance, draw insights, and continuously optimize content for better reach and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Campus Coverage: Coordinate with production and media teams to capture key campus moments from fests, Supermentor sessions, DJ nights, to club activities and personally cover events when required
• Instagram Engagement: Manage daily Stories, Highlights, and Reels in alignment with brand guidelines
• YouTube Shorts: Repurpose long form content and create engaging Shorts to maximize reach and discovery
• Content Publishing: Ensure consistent and timely uploads across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Trending Content: Identify and execute relevant trending formats such as RoboDog style reels aligned with SST's brand voice
• Editor and Agency Coordination: Work closely with agencies and freelance editors to ensure timely delivery, quality control, service fulfillment, and proper data management
• Community Engagement: Respond to comments and DMs across all owned social platforms to maintain high engagement
• Outbound ORM: Proactively engage via comments and DMs on relevant brands and influencers platforms to increase visibility and engagement
• Tracking and Reporting: Track all live content, maintain performance dashboards, share visibility updates, and highlight key wins
• Video Packaging: Ensure thumbnails for long form and short form videos are optimized and repackage older content to improve views and performance
• Cross POD Support: Provide support across all Content PODs as required

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in social media/content execution, preferably in youth, campus, or event-driven brands.
• Strong in analysing social media analytics across platforms such as Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and LinkedIn Analytics, with the ability to interpret data, track performance trends, and derive actionable insights.
• A natural content creator - someone who lives and breathes Instagram, YouTube, and reels.
• Strong understanding of short-form content trends and ability to adapt them for SST's context.
• Hands-on skills: basic video editing, shooting (phone/camera), and real-time content packaging.
• High energy, willingness to hustle, and ability to juggle multiple events/projects simultaneously.
• Excellent coordination skills - comfortable working with student clubs, freelancers, and agencies.
• Mission-driven: excited to build SST as India's Ivy League of tech.
