Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a Procurement /Facility specialist to join our QRC1 (Returns Center) in New Jersey. In this critical operational role, you will combine procurement expertise with facility management to ensure timely supply chain management, inventory accuracy, and facility improvements. You will drive operational excellence by managing inventory systems, optimizing vendor relationships, controlling procurement costs, and coordinating facility projects. Your work directly enables efficient returns processing and supports the broader organizational mission of delivering exceptional customer value.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Inventory Management (18–20 hours/week)

    • Conduct regular stock counts (8 hours/week) to ensure inventory accuracy at 98%+
    • Create and manage purchase orders with vendors (6–8 hours/week)
    • Update and maintain inventory management systems and records (4 hours/week)
  • Vendor & Relationship Management (8–10 hours/week)

    • Manage vendor communications, process payments, and track vendor performance (6 hours/week)
    • Negotiate contracts and manage contract renewals to reduce procurement costs by 10–15% (2–4 hours/week)
  • Facility Coordination & Projects (8–10 hours/week)

    • Lead small facility improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency (5–6 hours/week)
    • Schedule maintenance vendor visits, oversee site maintenance, and ensure preventive maintenance (3–4 hours/week)
  • Administration, Planning & Compliance (2–4 hours/week)

    • Forecast supply needs and participate in annual budget planning (2 hours/week)
    • Maintain accurate documentation, generate reports, and ensure regulatory compliance (2 hours/week)

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Experience in returns processing, warehouse, or logistics operations
  • Familiarity with facility management or maintenance coordination
  • Background in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer (DTC), or retail operations
  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and ethical supply chain practices

  • Stock-out Incidents: Reduce by 80%+ through proactive inventory management
  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain 98%+ accuracy via regular counts and system updates
