About the role
The Role
Merchandising Manager, Kids & Baby
We are seeking a Merchandising Manager, Kids & Baby to join our growing team. This merchant will be responsible for delighting Quince's growing customer base by expanding and managing the Kids & Baby apparel assortments.
Responsibilities
- Scale this business by adding to, refining and improving the Kids & Baby assortment across all product categories
- Identify and execute the right expansion opportunities to set the business up for long-term growth
- Work closely with product development, sourcing and technical design to develop and improve Kids & Baby products
- Partner with planning, site merchandising and marketing to grow these businesses
- Obsess about every aspect of our products (quality, price, sustainability, safety standards, etc.) to deliver for the customer and parent
- Help drive the business forward to meet sales targets, customer ratings/return rates and improved margins
Qualifications
Required:
- Role is based in San Francisco, California, with 3 days per week in office requirement
- 5-10 years of retail merchandising experience in Kids & Baby categories, preferably with luxury or premium brand expertise
- E-commerce experience and/or DTC experience preferred
- Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
- Mastery of merchandising analytics—leverage sales data, customer metrics, and reporting tools to drive category strategy and assortment decisions, prioritizing quantitative based insights.
- Product obsessed with experience in leveraging data tools and external sources
- Critical eye to anticipate parent and child needs (both the "science" and "art" of retail merchandising)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
- Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
Pay Range:
- $105,000 - $115,000
All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
