Product Manager

About the Role:

Build the onboarding backbone that powers every credit product PayU Finance owns.

As the Senior Product Manager for KYC Platform at PayU Finance, you will own the end-to-end Know Your Customer (KYC) infrastructure that underpins every lending product we operate. This is a platform role, not a product feature role.

PayU Finance India Limited is one of India's fastest-growing digital lending businesses, operating at the intersection of payments, credit, and technology. We are building the credit infrastructure for the next 500 million Indians as a regulated NBFC backed by Prosus.

What You Will Do:

• Define and own the KYC Platform roadmap, designing a modular, API-first KYC platform for all internal business units.
• Drive platform thinking by abstracting KYC flows into reusable components and defining platform contracts.
• Lead partner integration strategy for KYC vendors, negotiate SLAs, and own fallback logic.
• Translate RBI, PMLA, and FATF requirements into product specs with Compliance and Legal.
• Build with data by defining KYC funnel metrics, drop-off analytics, and fraud signals, and run A/B tests on onboarding.
• Enable developer experience through API specifications, documentation, and sandbox environments.
• Plan for scale and longevity, supporting new product lines and evolving RBI regulations.
• Own the KYC health dashboard and present to senior leadership and regulators.

What We Are Looking For:

• 6-9 years in product management, with at least 2-3 years owning a platform or infrastructure product, ideally in fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Hands-on experience within an RBI-regulated NBFC, bank, or payment aggregator.
• Technical depth to read API documentation, review system designs, and understand OAuth flows, webhook architectures, and data pipelines.
• Data-driven mindset, comfortable running SQL queries and interpreting funnel analytics.
• Experience evaluating and onboarding third-party vendors and managing SLA accountability.
• Long-term systems thinking, including backward compatibility, versioning, and deprecation.
• Strong communication and ability to drive alignment without authority.

Good to Have:

• Experience in KYC/AML domain, including CKYC, V-CIP, DigiLocker, and UIDAI API integrations.
• Knowledge of lending workflows such as loan origination, credit bureau pulls, and underwriting triggers.
• Exposure to co-lending or white-label lending platforms.
• Familiarity with PMLA, RBI Master Directions on KYC, and FATF guidelines.
• Experience with identity fraud detection, liveness check providers, or device intelligence.
