What is a day in the life of a Director of TikTok Shop - Brand Management?

Organizational Leadership: Directly manage, mentor, and build Associate Directors of TikTok Shop while maintaining indirect leadership over their teams of Account Managers. Set operational standards, refine performance metrics, and oversee talent development.

Strategic Partnership & Strategy: Collaborate closely with the Head of Accounts for TikTok Shop and the VP of Social Commerce to align top-level commercial targets, team structures, and market-expansion initiatives.

Executive Brand Ownership: Lead executive-level client strategy and maintain primary escalation ownership for high-value enterprise brands, translating complex marketplace insights into long-term growth playbooks.

P&L & Portfolio Growth: Take accountability for total portfolio GMV, retention, and revenue expansion across all accounts within your pod, ensuring team members consistently exceed brand KPIs.

Cross-Functional & Product Influence: Partner with Product, Engineering, Creator Operations, and Marketing leadership to influence the Pattern Creators software roadmap based on enterprise client feedback and social commerce trends.

Market Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of algorithm changes, TikTok Shop feature releases, and live shopping ecosystems to keep Pattern at the cutting edge of social commerce innovation.
What will I need to thrive in this role?

8-10+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, digital strategy, or agency environments, with a proven history of scaling multi-tiered teams (managing managers).

Deep operational expertise in TikTok Shop, social commerce ecosystems, affiliate networks, and creator-led commerce models.

Experience managing high-value client portfolios and interfacing directly with C-suite and VP-level brand stakeholders.

Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience driving portfolio-level P&L growth, staffing retention models, and client expansion strategies.

Executive-level communication and leadership skills with a track record of building collaborative, data-driven team cultures.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) required.
