Informatica Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Informatica Developer to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions. You will work closely with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to transform complex data requirements into scalable data pipelines that power our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL Design & Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable ETL mappings, mapplets, workflows, and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Database & SQL Optimization: Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance-tune database interactions across relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL).
• Data Warehousing: Participate in data modeling activities, utilizing dimensional data modeling techniques (Star and Snowflake schemas) for data marts and data warehouses.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production data issues, performance bottlenecks, and operational pipeline failures.
• Collaboration: Partner with Business Analysts and Data Stewards to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data mapping documents.
• Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and metadata repositories.
• Deployment & CI/CD: Manage code deployments across various environments (Development, Test, UAT, and Production) adhering to change management and data governance policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: [6+] years of hands-on experience in software development specializing in data warehousing and ETL architecture using Informatica PowerCenter / IICS.
• Technical Proficiencies:
• Strong expertise in Informatica components (Source Analyzer, Warehouse Designer, Mapping Designer, Transformation Developer, Workflow Manager, and Workflow Monitor).
• Proficiency in relational database concepts and advanced SQL/PL-SQL programming.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse) is a strong plus.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for data quality, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively in global, cross-functional, and Agile/Scrum team environments.
• Experience with DevOps/CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
