About the role
The role
Nebius is seeking a highly capable USA Regional Transportation Security Manager to lead the protection of high-value assets across all transportation operations in the United States.
This role holds end-to-end ownership of in-transit supply chain security across the US, covering all transportation lanes, carrier operations, and last-mile delivery of critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for shaping and executing regional transportation security strategy, managing risk across a complex carrier and logistics network, and leading the response to in-transit security incidents.
This is a high-impact role operating at the intersection of security, logistics, and operations, with direct influence on the resilience and integrity of Nebius’ infrastructure deployment across the US transportation network.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Own and lead transportation security across the United States, with full accountability for regional in-transit risk and performance
- Serve as the primary authority and escalation point for all transportation security matters within the US
- Ensure the secure handling, packaging, and movement of high-value assets across all transportation nodes, from origin to final delivery
- Define, implement, and continuously evolve regional transportation security standards, controls, and procedures aligned with global policies
- Establish and enforce security requirements across transportation partners, including carriers, freight forwarders, and last-mile delivery providers
- Conduct risk assessments across transportation routes, handoff points, and carrier operations, and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Lead end-to-end response to in-transit security incidents (e.g., theft, loss, diversion, tampering), including coordination, investigation, and resolution
- Manage and oversee GPS tracking, geofencing, and real-time monitoring platforms across active shipments
- Drive continuous improvement of transportation security capabilities, including route security reviews, carrier vetting, and technology tools
- Monitor and report on regional transportation security performance, risks, and trends, providing clear and actionable insights
- Partner closely with the Global Transportation Security Manager, regional warehouse security, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment and scalability
Operational Scope
- Oversight of a geographically distributed US transportation network, including domestic and cross-border lanes
- Regular engagement with carriers, freight partners, and last-mile vendors across multiple tiers
- Travel within the United States required for route assessments, partner reviews, and incident response
We expect you to have:
- Significant experience in transportation security, logistics security, or in-transit operational risk management
- Proven experience owning security or operations across a large geographic region (US experience strongly preferred)
- Strong experience working with transportation providers, including carriers, freight forwarders, and last-mile delivery partners
- Demonstrated experience leading incident response and managing complex in-transit security events
- Ability to operate independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across internal and external partners
- Analytical and structured approach to risk assessment and problem-solving
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- Experience in high-value or critical infrastructure transportation (e.g., data centers, electronics, technology hardware)
- Background in law enforcement, military, or corporate security
- Familiarity with supply chain security technologies (e.g., GPS tracking, geofencing, real-time monitoring platforms)
- Familiarity with supply chain security (TAPA TSR)
- Experience working in a global organization with cross-regional coordination
Operational Expectations
- This role includes responsibility for leading response to critical in-transit security incidents, which may occur outside standard working hours
- Operates within a global environment requiring coordination across multiple time zones
- Supported by the Global Transportation Security Manager and regional teams, with clear ownership of transportation security outcomes within the US region
