At myKaarma, we're not just leading the way in fixed ops solutions for the automotive industry. We're redefining what's possible for dealership service centers. Headquartered in Long Beach, California, and powered by a global team, our industry-leading SaaS platform combines communication, scheduling, and payment tools in one seamless solution that keeps dealerships and vehicle owners connected.
Rooted in the principles of the Toyota Production System, we operate with precision, efficiency, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement to deliver a better experience for all. At myKaarma, exceptional customer interactions are the cornerstone of our success. Our platform is meticulously engineered to communicate with customers at every aspect of the service, repair, and maintenance journey.
Role Description:
As an Associate Product Marketing Manager at myKaarma, you'll learn product marketing from the ground up by working alongside our Product Marketing Managers on real launches. You'll help create content, segment audiences, and prepare internal teams and customers for what's new, all while building a deep understanding of our industry, our product set, and how great product marketing gets done. We also want you to bring a fresh perspective: ask questions, challenge ideas and plans, and help us see things we might miss.
This role is designed as a launchpad. With the right growth, we expect you to be ready to step into a full Product Marketing Manager role within 18 to 24 months. It's a high-visibility position on a small, collaborative team, with hands-on mentorship and real opportunities to contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Launch support: Help Product Marketing Managers plan and execute feature and product launches, including tracking timelines, managing checklists, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Content creation: Draft launch content such as release announcements, emails, in-app messaging, help content, one-pagers, and presentations.
- Audience segmentation: Help identify which dealerships and users a launch is most relevant to, and tailor messaging and outreach accordingly.
- Challenging ideas: Ask questions and share your perspective on launch plans, messaging, and assumptions.
- Enablement support: Help build and maintain training materials, FAQs, and talk tracks that prepare Sales, Customer Success, and Support for new features.
- Adoption tracking: Help gather and report on post-launch adoption data, and learn how to turn results into recommendations.
- Customer and market learning: Build your knowledge of the automotive service industry, dealership operations, customers, and competitors.
- Professional growth: Learn the full scope of a Product Marketing Manager's responsibilities, taking on greater ownership over time with the goal of leading launches independently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: No prior product marketing experience required. Internships, coursework, or early career experience in marketing, communications, business, sales, customer support, or a related field is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in clear, concise writing; organization and attention to detail; asking thoughtful questions; collaborating across teams; presenting ideas clearly to small groups; using common workplace tools such as Google Workspace.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of, or strong interest in learning, marketing fundamentals, how software companies sell to and support business customers, how customers discover and adopt new products, and how to research a market, customer, or competitor.
Nice to Have Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field; specialized Master's degree is a plus.
- Internship or project experience in marketing, product, or a B2B software company.
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Appcues, Google Workspace, Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
- Exposure to automotive retail, dealerships, or service-based businesses.
How to Stand Out:
We value thinking that is strategic, asks the right questions early, and turns every launch into real customer adoption and success.
Total Rewards at myKaarma:
- Flexible Work Environment: A high-performance, flexible structure that values freedom and responsibility.
- Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, along with wellness and telework stipends.
- Time Off: Generous vacation time to recharge and balance life outside work.
- In-Office Perks: Dog-friendly offices and unlimited snacks or refreshments onsite.
The starting salary range for this role is $72,000 - $77,715 USD per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional details about our Total Rewards package will be shared during recruitment.
