Intern - Software Development Engineer ( Backend )

Let's start with who we are:

Interviews can be hard. And when it comes to the top tech companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix, etc., they can be downright brutal. Most candidates don’t make it simply because they don’t prepare well enough. IK helps candidates nail the toughest tech interviews. At IK, current and former hiring managers at these top companies take candidates through an intense prep course to prepare them to crack the toughest Technical interviews. You could think of us as ‘the everything store’ for career transitions and interview skill development.

How do we do that, you ask?

We have a structured approach to interview success, which includes:

• Career Accelerator Course

• Comprehensive end-to-end courses and platform

• A roster of over 750 instructors from leading Silicon Valley companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Netflix

• A holistic approach that includes live classes, mock interviews, personalized coaching, resume refinement, career strategies, and invaluable referrals

What’s more exciting is that we are completely remote and hiring the best people we can find regardless of geography.

What will you be doing?

• Own the backend for features end-to-end — from design and API development to deployment and monitoring in production.

• Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs, and continuously improve the performance and reliability of existing ones.

• Write clean, well-tested code, and take ownership of unit/integration tests for everything you ship.

• Triage and resolve production issues quickly when they come up, then get back to planned sprint work — reliability comes first.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to translate requirements into solid technical solutions.

• Review code, share feedback, and help raise the engineering bar across the team.

• Bonus: if you enjoy front-end work too, there's room to contribute to our NextJS/jQuery front end.
