Hardware Technician Lead

Role overview

We are looking for a Hardware Service Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and deploy Instacore wearable hardware devices.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues affecting Instacore wearable devices.
• Test and repair head, chest, and wrist cameras, IMU sensors, cables, connectors, and related components.
• Troubleshoot power, connectivity, recording, camera-detection, and sensor issues.
• Flash devices, install firmware updates, configure devices, and conduct functional testing.
• Use digital multimeters and basic electronic testing tools to identify faults.
• Inspect motherboards, daughterboards, connectors, cable harnesses, power circuits, and other hardware components.
• Repair or replace damaged and faulty components.
• Conduct quality-control testing before handing devices over to the field operations team.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for each device and IC number.
• Track repaired, failed, and pending devices in the service tracker.
• Support field teams with remote and on-site hardware troubleshooting when required.
• Coordinate with the engineering and inventory management teams to resolve hardware-related issues.
• Follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) and safe-handling procedures when working with electronic components.
• Assist with managing spare parts, cameras, sensors, cables, connectors, and other hardware inventory.
• Prepare service reports and communicate recurring hardware problems to the engineering team.
• Support the testing and validation of new devices, components, and hardware revisions.
