About the role
Overview of the Role:
This is a senior individual contributor and business development role with a clear mandate: identify, engage, and close Audience Network partnerships with large US consumer platforms across commerce, travel, mobility and payments.
You will be selling to CXOs, including CEOs, CROs, Chief Digital Officers, and the GMs who own advertising P&Ls, at companies whose primary business is not advertising. These are complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder deals spanning ads leadership, data and engineering, finance, and legal/privacy. You will own the full cycle from first conversation to signed agreement, supported by InMobi's product, data science, and solutions teams.
What You'll Do:
- Build and own the pipeline of US consumer platforms with established advertising businesses, a small, well-defined set of high-value target accounts.
- Lead CXO-level conversations framing the partnership as an incremental, outcome-based revenue stream that protects the platform's data advantage rather than leaking it.
- Construct the commercial model deal by deal, with outcome-based economics in which InMobi participates only when measurable value is created.
- Navigate the integration conversation with technical and data stakeholders on data access, attribution, budgeting and reporting. You don't have to build it, but you have to hold the room on it.
- Work closely with product, data science and solutions to tailor the proposition to each platform's stack, ad-business maturity, and strategic goals.
- Feed market intelligence back into product and leadership.
- Build the playbook. You are the first dedicated commercial hire in this motion.
Experience We're Looking For:
- 8–15 years in digital media, ad tech, commerce media or platform partnerships, ideally with time spent on both the platform side and in a commercial/BD role.
- A track record of closing large, complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships with senior executives.
- Fluency in retail/commerce media and outcome-based buying, including CPA and ROAS economics, closed-loop attribution, first-party audience activation, and how a platform ad business makes money.
- Comfort in data and privacy conversations, including clean rooms, identity, data governance, and what a platform's legal team will and won't accept.
- Experience selling a platform or managed service to a partner, including structuring revenue-share and build-vs-partner decisions.
- Existing relationships across US commerce, travel, mobility or payments platforms are a significant advantage.
Skills & Attributes:
- You sell by listening and advising.
- Comfortable with long cycles (6–12 months).
- Sharp commercial instincts, including building business cases, modeling incremental revenue, and defending margin splits.
- Credible with C-suite executives on business strategy and data strategy.
- Entrepreneurial, comfortable building the playbook as you go.
- Low ego, high output, working across product, engineering, data science and global teams.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and ESOP grant (where applicable)
- High-quality medical, dental, and vision insurance (including company-matched HSA)
- 401(k) company match
- Generous vacation time, sick days, special occasion time, and company-wide holidays
- Substantial maternity and paternity leave benefits
- Flexible working hours
- Wellness stipend
- Free lunch provided in offices daily
- Pet-friendly work environment and pet insurance
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The base salary (fixed) pay range for this role is $168,350 to $233,100 USD for offices located in California and New York, plus eligibility for variable pay as deemed per policy.
