HR Generalist

Primary Functions for this position include:

• Verify attendance and time off program according to company policy, approve time cards for payroll bi-weekly
• Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires and off boarding for terminations
• Monitor performance review process
• Schedule and track employee safety training
• Manage job postings, recruitment, and application tracking process, including conducting interviews
• Build and maintain relationships with local schools and college career departments
• Administer company benefits program
  • Open enrollment
  • Claims resolution
  • Invoice audits
  • Enrollments, terminations, qualifying event changes
  • Act as Privacy Officer for all Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Create and maintain Human Resources Information System records, personnel files, and databases
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, EEO, AAP, I-9 guidelines and regulations
• Update and write company policies
• Investigate and document safety incidents, filing reports with OSHA and Work’s Compensation insurance as required
• Provide guidance to employees and management on policies and procedures
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation and regulations
• Other duties required to maintain the smooth function of the department

Required qualifications:

• Ability to compute, classify, record, and verify data for use in maintaining records.
• Exceptional computer, organizations and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Associated degree in HR, Business, or related field OR HR related work experience and training

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field OR an active HRCI or SHRM Certification
