About the role
About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager – POS to own the strategy, roadmap, customer experience, and business outcomes for Ginesys’s POS portfolio across Cloud POS, Offline POS, Mobile POS, and omnichannel store journeys. You will combine deep retail and POS expertise with strong product craft to modernise a mission-critical store platform and shape the future of intelligent store commerce.
Key Responsibilities
POS Product Strategy, Market & Discovery
- Own the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cloud, Offline, Mobile, and Omnichannel POS within Ginesys One.
- Build deep understanding of retailers, store associates, market shifts, and global POS competition to identify whitespace and differentiated product bets.
- Prioritise roadmap investments using customer value, market opportunity, competitive advantage, revenue potential, and ROI; distinguish scalable needs from one-off customisation.
- Shape the modernisation and migration strategy for existing POS capabilities while protecting continuity for enterprise retailers.
Modern Store & Omnichannel Experience
- Reimagine core store journeys across billing, payments, promotions, loyalty, returns, inventory visibility, assisted selling, and endless aisle.
- Design seamless experiences across stores, e-commerce, marketplaces, and customer channels, including Mobile POS and checkout-anywhere experiences.
- Own product quality across speed, usability, reliability, offline resilience, multi-device environments, and high-volume enterprise store networks.
Platform, Architecture & Product Execution
- Partner deeply with Engineering and Architecture on APIs, data flows, sync, security, performance, observability, extensibility, and backward compatibility.
- Ensure seamless integration with ERP, OMS, WMS, CRM, loyalty, payments, tax, e-commerce, and third- party retail ecosystems.
- Translate strategy into crisp requirements, prototypes, workflows, and measurable release outcomes; make sound trade-offs between speed, technical foundations, and long-term platform leverage.
- Lead cross-functional execution with Design, Engineering, QA, Customer Success, and Implementation from discovery through launch and adoption.
AI-First Store Innovation
- Identify meaningful AI-native opportunities across checkout, associate assistance, store operations, recommendations, automation, fraud/risk, and customer experience.
- Use contemporary AI and rapid prototyping tools hands-on to validate concepts faster and explore intelligent assistance, natural-language interfaces, and agentic store workflows.
- Challenge legacy retail workflows and help define what an intelligent, connected store experience should look like for the next decade.
Business Outcomes, Adoption & Monetisation
- Own measurable outcomes across adoption, usage depth, customer satisfaction, retention, revenue influence, and expansion.
- Define success metrics before launch, track post-launch performance, and use data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing on positioning, packaging, competitive differentiation, and monetisation; equip Customer Success and Support to drive adoption and customer value.
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12 years of experience with significant core Product Management ownership of POS, store commerce, or mission-critical retail software.
- Must have hands-on product experience across Cloud POS, Offline POS, Mobile POS, and omnichannel retail journeys; experience with established POS / retail-tech players is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of store operations including billing, payments, promotions, loyalty, returns, inventory, taxation, devices, and associate workflows.
- Experience building enterprise-grade products requiring offline resilience, integrations, high availability, performance, security, and scale.
- Strong customer discovery, product strategy, commercial thinking, and ROI-based prioritisation with a track record of measurable business outcomes.
- Strong technical fluency across APIs, integrations, data flows, cloud architecture, sync models, and platform design.
- AI-first builder mindset and strong stakeholder influence across customers, Engineering, Design, Sales, Support, Implementation, and leadership.
