Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Podcast Specialist to own the podcast vertical end-to-end for the Fynd out with Ragini — from research and guest/topic ideation through scripting, recording/hosting coordination, and publishing. You'll be responsible for building a strong content pipeline, ensuring every episode is well-researched and engaging, and continuously improving format and performance based on data. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can move fluidly between creative storytelling and rigorous execution.
Responsibilities
- Generate podcast episode ideas on an ongoing basis across relevant themes (finance, business, culture, current events, or category-specific topics as defined by the BU).
- Identify emerging trends, guests, and overlooked angles that make for strong episodes.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of episode concepts, ready for review and prioritization.
- Present ideas to content leadership for selection and sign-off.
- Convert research into tight, engaging episode scripts / talking points / interview outlines.
- Simplify complex topics without diluting accuracy or depth.
- Craft strong hooks, clear narrative arcs, and memorable takeaways suited to audio consumption.
- Coordinate guest briefs and question banks where episodes involve interviews.
- Own the full lifecycle of an episode — from idea to published output.
- Coordinate recording schedules, hosts/guests, editors, and production resources.
- Review recorded/edited content for quality, accuracy, and tone before publishing.
- Manage publishing timelines across platforms (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, etc.) and ensure consistency in cadence.
- Track episode-level performance — listens, completion rate, drop-off points, and audience feedback.
- Conduct post-episode reviews to identify what worked and what didn't.
- Continuously refine hooks, formats, and research depth based on performance data.
- Share concise, decision-ready insights with content leadership to inform future episode planning.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Prior experience producing, scripting, or hosting podcasts or audio content.
- Experience with recording/editing tools and podcast publishing platforms.
- Understanding of finance, business, or the specific content category relevant to the BU.
- Experience creating content that has driven measurable audience growth or engagement.
- Background in Journalism, Mass Communication, or Liberal Arts.
